Accessing MyOnline

When you first begin as a student in the online program, you will receive your BUNet ID and activation code to grant you access into MyOnline portal. You will also find access to MyOnline in your online course site's left-hand Tools Menu.


MyOnline Home Page

Your MyOnline home page will direct you to all areas of MyOnline in its left navigation menu. The home page will contain welcome videos, the Bradley Online Nursing Twitter feed, upcoming outage notifications, and upcoming academic deadlines. Please note that these academic deadlines will not be specific to deadlines in your courses. Those deadlines will be found in Sakai.

Your home page also contains links to the following websites that will be frequently used during your time in the online program: Sakai, email, the 24/7 Help Desk, and Typhon.


Schedule

The Schedule page in MyOnline will contain your plan of study which lists details on the courses you are taking that semester. It also contains a link to the Bradley University Official Bookstore. This link will take you to a textbook ordering page that is customized based on the courses you are currently taking.


Classes/Grades

The Classes/Grades page will provide a class list and grades for your most recent term, and also historically. You may also calculate your GPA on this page and view an unofficial academic record. Classes/Grades also contains an outline of your academic program, and which courses you have completed in your program. The academic program outline also allows you to compare the courses in your degree program with those in other online nursing programs.

Financial Services

Financial Assistance, Student Fees/Billing, and student loans comprise Student Financial Services (SFS). The Student Fees department within Bradley's Controller's Office manages the University's student billing and payment processes. The Financial Assistance Office assists the Bradley student in navigating the financial aid process that includes student borrowing.

Clearinghouse

Accessing the National Student Clearinghouse web site will allow you to print a certificate showing proof of enrollment for health insurance providers, credit card applications, housing providers, employers, etc. In order to use this service you must have provided Bradley University with your social security number and be connected to a printer.


Support Coach

Review the role of and the typical student support coach discussion topics on the Support Coach page on MyOnline. Familiarize yourself with the areas that your Support Coach will not oversee. Your Support Coach will be able to direct you to the appropriate department and resources to accelerate your concerns. You can send a message to your support coach through the message widget on this page.


Faculty

The Faculty page contains biographies for the Bradley University faculty that will be teaching in the online nursing program.


Academic Advisor

Academic advising is central to the Bradley experience. The goal of the Department of Nursing is to provide meaningful interaction between a faculty advisor and a student. The Academic Advisor page in MyOnline details both the role of the nursing academic advisor and your unique advisor assigned to you throughout your academic journey. This page also contains details on course transfer credit, grade concerns, and steps for dropping a class or withdrawing from the program.


Academic Resources

The Academic Resources page includes links to the library, APA Help, and the Center for Learning and Access.


Clinicals

Clinical experiences will offer you opportunities to apply theoretical concepts, theories, and principles to practice. Each clinical experience will be completed in a practice setting that directly correlates with the patient population or environment being studied in the corresponding theory course. Clinical guidelines, requirements, and other details important to your clinicals can be found on the Clinicals page in MyOnline.


Health Requirements

The health requirements page lists program requirements and due dates for immunizations, drug testing and criminal background checks, and a physical exam.


Career Advisor

The Career Advisor page shares details on how to connect with the Smith Career Center when considering potential employment steps; such as resume writing.


Tech Requirements

Technology requirements for the online program can be found on the Tech Requirements page of MyOnline. Familiarize yourself with the required technology that will not only be required when using Bongo, a third-party tool you will use in your online degree program, but will also be required in the online program as a whole.

These technology requirements will also be featured in the syllabus of your online course.

Photo & ID

All students are required to provide the University with a photo. As nursing students, you are also required to obtain a nursing badge. Follow the instructions for submitting your photo and obtaining your nursing badge and Bradley student ID on the Photo & ID page.


Announcements

Visit the Announcements page frequently for important announcements, including due dates for program requirements.


State Authorization

This page contains details on the state authorization process for the online nursing program.

The FAQ page will contain answers to questions you may frequently ask during your time in the online program regarding account management, profile information, and social media.
